Although this story dropped on April Fools day, it turns out it's legit. It seems that a DVD quality full-length print of X-Men Origins: Wolverine has leaked online, almost a month before its scheduled theatrical release. Understandably, Fox is very, VERY angry. The leaked version is uncompleted, missing some effects shots and reshoots, but Fox is nevertheless planning to prosecute. Both the FBI and the MPAA are investigating.
Who says online piracy isn't a problem?

piracy is indeed a problem, and to an extent, publishers over look it because of extended merchandise profits due to a wider audience. But leaking out films before their movie release date, and by bringing the FBI etc in means that the days of torrents may be that much closer to coming to an end.
however, according to this mornings herald sun (newspaper owned by rupert murdoch..) iron man was leaked beforehand, yet it still grossed over $800 million worldwide.

True, but having a movie leaked THAT early shows another problem. Someone close to the film had to be the culprit.
