This a new series that's just started airing. It's a sci-fi yuri. Without giving too much away. It's about the realtionship of these two girls. One is a soul surivor of a dissaperance and the other is an alien. All the aliens of her species is female. It's done by Gonzo. It's a bit slow but the music and art are good.

The first episode is already out? This sounded interesting, so I'm planning on giving it a chance.

I was going to make a thread about this, but it appears I was too slow on the draw. After three episodes, this is already one of my favorite shows this season. It's pretty, has interesting characters, and the plot seems to be heading towards epic. I'm interested in hearing Ekuryua's impression of this one, as it seems right up his line of interest.

A manga or two predate the anime by a couple of years. I just finished most of the first manga (see Wikipedia for details of the odd release), and... wow. I was already intrigued by this, but that's now transformed into excitement and earnest anticipation. If they're going to tie this into the manga at all, this is going to be dark and epic. I just wish this was a full 26 episodes instead of 13.
Fair warning: Be advised that it gets a bit... well, it's definitely 17+ material in some parts. It's quite good for what it is, though.
Edit: Oh yeah, make sure you read these in the right order, even though they're not closely related:
Kaijin
Kowareta Tenshi (Broken Angel)
Tenshi no Yakusoku (Angel's Promise)
There are two chapters which have not been scanlated for whatever reason. I currently have the raw in transit.
Edit 2: After reading a couple of the chapters from Tenshi no Bokura that haven't been translated yet... um... this is definitely 18+ material here. If it doesn't tone it down soon, I may have to stop reading. In fact, I won't be recommending this section to anyone in the future. It's that bad.
Discussion of the story is still welcome for those that have read or will read it, but obviously the forum rules take effect wherever applicable.

It's definitely interesting. Whether or not it's any good, I can't say... but it's interesting enough to keep watching.

I did a complete translation of the
Blue Drop official chronology, and another member at AnimeSuki added some notes as well as something I missed. Parts by him in italics. Does contain something of a spoiler for the anime, but you'll be fine if you've read even one chapter of either of the manga.
This universe is much bigger than I originally thought...

Lililicious has finished Tenshi no Sentaku, the final chapter in the original Blue Drop manga. It's available on their site. This was my favorite chapter when I read the raws, so I'm glad they finished it
(aside: anyone else think that emoticon is a bit creepy? >_>)
I assume they're now done with the project, as they state that they won't be doing Kaminoko nor Tenshi no Bokura. They might do Tenshi no Itazura, I guess, but after that they'll definitely be done.

Hey Fatpianoboy! Been a while!
Is the manga different then the anime for this one? And if so which would you recommend reading/watching first?

All the stories have separate plots, characters, and settings, but they're all set within the same universe along different periods in time. See the chronology I posted for more.
